What is data science?

Data science combines statistics, programming and domain knowledge to turn raw data into decisions.

1. Ask a clear question.
2. Collect and clean the data.
3. Explore it with summaries and plots.
4. Model the relationships you find.
5. Communicate the results.

Tools for this course

We use Python 3 with Jupyter notebooks, pandas for tables and matplotlib for plots.
